‘These are shoes are too old for a long journey, Toto,’ she said. Toto looked into her face with his bright eyes. He barked at her happily. Then Dorothy remembered something.
‘Perhaps those silver shoes will fit me,’ she said to herself.
She tried them on. They fitted very well.
She picked up her basket.
‘Come along, Toto,” she said.
And so, with Toto running along behind her, she started on the journey.

UNSEEN COMPREHENSION PASSAGE
Little Tommy and his mom went to visit the city zoo. They wanted
to see the wild animals from different places of the world. They
bought the tickets at the zoo entrance and went inside. They
walked on a narrow path and saw cages and areas of land
surrounded by fence. The first wild animal they saw there was an
elephant. It had a huge body with long thick trunk and two ivory
tusks. After that, Tommy and Mom went towards the area where
the lions lived. The lions were laying down in the shade and didn’t
care about the curious people who were watching them. Then,

‘Tommy, do you want to feed the giraffe?’ asked Mom.

were all painted bright red. The Quadlings themselves were short and fat. They
were dressed in red, too.
Soon the travelers saw before
them a beautiful castle. Its walls were covered with bright red stones, called
rubies. Al the gates were three soldier girls. One of them said to Dorothy:
‘Why have you come here?’
‘To see the Good with Glinda,’
Dorothy said.
After asking them their names,
the soldiers girl went into the castle. Soon she came back. ‘Come with me,’ she
said. ‘Glinda will see you.’
